Hey, I'm Dave.
I am a certified health coach specialising in the ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting.
I started health coaching as a culmination of my own personal 2 year keto journey. Now, I want to help others who are wanting to improve their health and thrive, by utilising my own experiences to help them on their health journeys.
A few years ago I had started to gain weight around my belly which I hated. I had arthritic pain in my neck and back, bloating, heartburn, dry skin, lack of energy, anxiety, self confidence issues and a severe addiction to sugar. Just take a look at the picture from back then, I look more 40 than 25!
Since I started eating a high fat, low carb diet, my life improved dramatically. Nearly all of those symptoms that plagued me everyday disappeared. My energy has increased and my digestion is better.
More importantly my relationship with food has greatly improved and I feel happy and healthy.
This has inspired me to help as many people as possible take back control of their health and thrive, like us humans were designed to do.
I work with clients to help improve their metabolic health by promoting a primal based, nutrient dense and real food approach to eating.
No more calorie counting, hunger or having to suffer the feeling of starvation just to lose weight.
My approach encourages eating a nutrient dense diet consisting of quality proteins and healthy fats. The foods which enabled us humans to thrive throughout our evolution.
As well as concentrating on nutrition, we will also focus on other important factors of overall health including, stress, sleep and movement.
When working with me you will be encouraged to listen to your body and eat until you are full and satisfied. No more calorie restriction, which is actually counter-productive in promoting health and weight loss.
It's a low carb, high fat approach which prioritises getting enough protein. It's an approach which eliminates all the pro-inflammatory foods from your diet including vegetable oils, grains and sugar.
Eliminating these pro-inflammatory foods from your diet will result in healthy and sustained weight loss, better digestion and gut health, and can be really effective in regulating blood glucose and insulin levels. It is also great for improving mental clarity and energy levels, giving you more constant, balanced energy throughout the day. No more blood glucose rollercoaster rides!
